German EV builder Ari Motors has introduced the ARI 458 Pro Campervan, touted as the smallest motorhome in Europe. At 3.5 to 3.82 metres in length (shorter than a Mazda MX-5), 1.49 m wide, and with an interior height of 1.85 m, it offers a living area of about 2.8 m².
Key specs
- Vehicle class: heavy quadricycle (L7e), based on a licensed Chinese EV
- Motor: 15 kW (20 hp) electric
- Top speed: 70–74 km/h (sources vary)
- Range: 120–230 km depending on battery pack
The camper is sold as a bare shell — buyers must fit their own furniture and equipment. Base price in Germany starts at €25,530 excluding VAT (roughly €30,000–30,381 with tax). Orders open on 1 May 2026.
A notable concern is safety: as an L7e vehicle, it is not required to undergo Euro NCAP crash tests.
