The financial viability of buying a motorhome instead of renting depends on the frequency of use. Using the example of a Knaus l!ve 650 MF model costing approximately €70,000, the calculation shows that purchase pays off if used for more than 22 weeks in the first year or about 5.5 weeks annually in subsequent years, compared to an average weekly rental cost of €1,200.

Head-on collision: 84-year-old driver swerved into oncoming lane

On Monday after 3 PM, a head-on collision occurred between a motorhome and a passenger car in the settlement of Petelinje. An 84-year-old driver of the car, traveling from Postojna towards Pivka, suddenly swerved into the oncoming lane, colliding with a motorhome driven by a 51-year-old woman. The car driver was taken with injuries to the University Medical Centre Ljubljana, and police are treating the incident as a criminal case for dangerous driving.

Updated Mercedes-Benz Marco Polo 2027

Mercedes-Benz has updated the compact motorhome Marco Polo for the 2027 model year. Key updates feature a new aluminum pop-up roof with improved insulation, an upgraded MBAC control system, and the relocation of the complete conversion process to the Ludwigsfelde plant in Germany. The vehicle will be presented at the Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf, with deliveries starting in the second half of 2026.
