In Avellino, Italy, Young Caritas volunteers held a street event using a Caritas motorhome. For about three hours at the entrance of Villa Comunale, people could talk, leave positive messages, and receive free hugs. The initiative attracted dozens of participants, mostly young people, and prompted requests to hold it every Sunday.

A head-on collision between a motorhome and an electric Mercedes in Cesio, Imperia province, resulted in the death of a 69-year-old man. He died during an emergency helicopter transfer to the hospital. The crash occurred around 3:40 PM in a tunnel near the Cesio junction, involving four vehicles and seven people. On 24 April in Perugia, a camper with Austrian tourists got stuck on Via Alessi, blocking traffic.
