German manufacturer Bürstner (Hymer Group) announced it will completely stop caravan production from the 2027 season under its 'Bürstner Reloaded' strategy. The company will focus on motorhomes and campervans, while maintaining service and spare parts for existing caravan owners.

Bürstner, part of the Erwin Hymer Group, is ending caravan production from model year 2027. The decision is part of the 'Bürstner Reloaded' strategy and follows a decline in caravan demand: in 2025, European caravan sales fell by 11%, and by 13.4% in Germany, while the motorhome market grew by 0.6%.

In 2026, only one of 15 caravan lines remained — the B66, which has now also been discontinued. The company will focus resources on motorhomes and campervans, including new models Papillon, Habiton, and Signature. CEO Hubert Brandl stated this is not a final exit from the caravan segment but a reallocation of resources.

Service and spare parts for existing Bürstner caravans will be fully maintained. Within the Erwin Hymer Group, Dethleffs, LMC, and Eriba continue caravan production.
