New RV parks in Japan
In April 2026, two new paid RV parks for camper vans and motorhomes started operating in Japan.
USE No-togawa Park (Shiga Prefecture)
Located in Higashiomi, the park has 14 spots and provides a full range of services: electricity, water supply, sewage, 24-hour toilets, and a wastewater dumping station. Pets are allowed. Overnight fees start from 6,600 yen.
RV Park Kakegawa (Shizuoka Prefecture)
Opened by the Japan RV Association in Kakegawa, this park has 5 spots and is positioned as a convenient base for tourism in central-western Shizuoka, thanks to good transport access. Facilities include electricity, water, and 24-hour toilets. Pets are welcome. Rates start from 3,000 yen per night. The park is promoted as a safe alternative to sleeping in regular parking lots.
Both parks are open 24/7 and accessible to RV owners.
