Swiss campsites: Swisscamps Awards 2026

The Swisscamps Association announced the winners of the Swisscamps Awards 2026 in four categories. The best five-star campsite is Camping Seehorn (Egnach, Thurgau) on Lake Constance, with nightly rates from 23 francs. In the 4-star category, TCS Camping Sempach (Lucerne) won, with prices from 40 francs per night. Among three-star campsites, Camping Bad Ragaz (St. Gallen) was recognized, with overnight stays from 10.40 francs. European ranking: camping.info Award 2026

The ranking of the 110 best campsites in Europe was published, based on votes from over 62,000 holidaymakers. First place went to Austrian Camping Sonnenland Lutzmannsburg; German Campingpark Kühlungsborn is in the top 3 for the second consecutive year. The camping.info Award, presented for the 15th time, is based solely on user ratings without a jury.

Pitches for large motorhomes in Italy

The magazine promobil compiled a selection of 16 pitches for motorhomes over 8 meters long in Italy. All sites have spaces for long vehicles, as well as facilities for grey water disposal and refilling. The list includes locations from South Tyrol to Sicily, including Garda, Tuscany, and Matera.
