Travelers from Brazil, Colombia, Sweden and other countries share their experiences of life on wheels: from a 5,700 km journey to Patagonia to annual trips to Portugal.
Journey from Cuiabá to Patagonia
Couple Kelly and Juliano covered 5,700 kilometers in a motorhome from Cuiabá, Brazil, to Patagonia. Along the way they faced vehicle icing and a theft in Bariloche—intruders broke into the motorhome and stole equipment. Despite this, they continue towards Ushuaia.
Pink Motorhome from Rio Preto
A couple from São José do Rio Preto (São Paulo state) converted a Kombi van into a pink motorhome. They rent out their apartment and live full-time in the vehicle.
Travel through Colombia and South America
A couple from Sipacira (Colombia) sold all their belongings to travel in a converted motorhome. They visited Aguadas in Colombia and plan to tour all of South America. The project is funded by personal savings, handicraft sales and social media content.
Swedish Pensioners in Portugal
Two 72-year-old Swedish women, Kicki and Lotta, drive 4,000 km annually from Sweden to Portugal in their motorhomes. They spend the winter months at a campsite in Olhão, where monthly costs are about 4,000 SEK. The trip takes up to a month due to leisurely driving with stops.
