Retiree faced threats and harassment over park home sale

An anonymous driver damaged the gravel surface at the Ness Boating Club caravan site, prompting the club to install CCTV. The club stated this was not the first incident and called on the perpetrator to cover the costs of repairs and camera installation.

West Mercia Police arrested a 48-year-old man and a 13-year-old girl on suspicion of dangerous driving following a crash at Mile Bank Farm near Whitchurch. The incident occurred at around 10:45 am on 25 April, when a Volvo XC60 crashed through several fences and a gate before colliding with a caravan awning. An 81-year-old man and a 71-year-old woman were seriously injured; the man remains in hospital in critical condition. Both suspects have been released on bail, and police are appealing for witnesses.

Ewen Cameron, 59, appeared at Ayr Sheriff Court charged with intentionally engaging in sexual activity in the presence of two girls under 13. The alleged incident occurred on September 20, 2025, at Craig Tara Holiday Park, where he is said to have knocked on a caravan window, beckoned the children, then exposed himself and performed a sexual act. Cameron, an inmate at HMP Kilmarnock, pleaded not guilty; the case was adjourned for witness evidence arrangements.

Simon John Turner, 49, was sentenced to 10 years in prison for defrauding three victims of approximately £190,000. He promised to help buy caravans and make investments but used fake invoices. The sentence was handed down in April 2026.
