In a separate case, Stephen Ward was convicted of stealing a Hobby 570 caravan (8.2 meters long) in County Donegal in 2019 and driving it 160 km to Monaghan. The court ordered him to pay €4,471 in damages, of which €2,955 remains unpaid. He was warned that failure to pay the compensation would result in a fine.
