UK: Stolen motorhome found by drone
A motorhome was stolen from the village of Ainthorpe near Whitby, North Yorkshire, between 13 and 14 April. The owner tracked the vehicle via a tracker to Hartlepool, where police located it using a drone on 24 April. North Yorkshire Police is investigating and asking witnesses to call 101.
Ireland: Caravan theft in Tipperary
A Bailey Pursuit caravan was stolen from Midlough, Cloghjordan, on the night of 14-15 April. Two pressure washers were also taken from Glenahilty, and tools were stolen from commercial vehicles in Tyone and on the Dublin Road, with a car break-in in Kilcommon. Gardaí urge vigilance and ask for information to be reported to Nenagh station.
Other: Illegal puppy farm in a caravan
Michaela Anderson-Letts pleaded guilty to causing unnecessary suffering to animals for running an illegal puppy farm in a caravan in Eastbourne. In July 2021, police seized 35 puppies and one dog; 14 puppies required hospitalisation, and one died from dehydration and starvation. She was ordered to pay £157,269.25 within three months, given a 24-month suspended sentence, a lifetime ban on keeping animals, and 300 hours of community service. Non-payment could result in 18 months in prison.
