The former 20,000 m² campsite has been closed for three years. After the operator's bankruptcy, several parties showed interest, but renaturation of the Urselbach stream and flood protection requirements make reopening nearly impossible.

The campsite in Frankfurt-Heddernheim, closed for three years, has almost no chance of reopening. The reason is the renaturation of the Urselbach stream and strict flood protection requirements.

The municipal part of the site (10,000 m²) will be returned to nature. The private plot (another 10,000 m²) has been put up for sale after the bankruptcy of the previous operator, City Camp Frankfurt, in February 2026. Several interested parties have emerged, but widening the stream bed to 5 meters and the flood zone make almost the entire area unsuitable for camping. Violating the ban on camping in the flood zone carries fines of up to 100,000 euros.
