In Ardèche, 80 caravans of travelers have set up at the Plaine des sports stadium in Guilherand-Granges. This is not the first illegal occupation of this site in recent years.

On April 26, two cars collided on the A84 near Villedieu-les-Poêles, one towing a caravan. Two 22-year-olds with minor injuries were hospitalized; two elderly people were unharmed. Traffic was blocked, with a 3 km queue.

On April 25, on the A29 near Flamets-Frétils (Seine-Maritime), a car towing a caravan lost control and overturned. An 11-year-old child was hospitalized in Amiens; three others were unharmed.

Vosges artist Petit K, who rose to fame on Nouvelle Star, is touring in a camper van to promote his second album 'Vie vagabonde'. He will stop on June 17 in Gondreville and June 18 in La Bresse, accompanied by his musician brother. The tour was co-created with fans based on 400 proposals received.

Carrément Caravanes returns to the Mellinet wasteland on June 5 and 6, 2026 for its third edition. The festival offers two days of street performances, concerts, and participatory activities, with reinvented fairground games and a children's area. Entry is pay-what-you-want, food and bar on site.

French company AireServices has rebranded its network of motorhome stopover sites as Qipeo. As of April 2026, the network includes 1,250 sites with 26,000 parking spaces. The name comes from the company’s app launched in late 2025, which enables online payment and remote activation of services. The new signage is being rolled out gradually; sites remain non-uniform – local authorities decide on fees and management.
