The Japan RV Association signed agreements with Nakama and Okagaki to provide campers for rescue teams. Earlier, Tokorozawa city made a similar deal with VANTECH. About 60 RVs were deployed after the 2024 Noto Peninsula earthquake.
The Japan RV Association, comprising 172–175 manufacturers and dealers, signed agreements on April 20, 2026, with the cities of Nakama and Okagaki (Fukuoka Prefecture) to supply camper vans for rescue workers during major disasters. These are the first such pacts between the association and local governments on Kyushu Island.
Earlier, on February 9, 2026, Tokorozawa City (Saitama Prefecture) concluded a similar agreement with VANTECH Co., Ltd. The deal covers renting RVs as mobile shelters for evacuees and for use in epidemic control and rescue operations.
According to the association, about 60 RVs were dispatched after the 2024 Noto Peninsula earthquake at the request of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Ishikawa Prefecture, serving municipal staff deployed to the affected area.
