Motorhomes and Camping: New Travel Trends

TF1+ released a 1h32 program about motorhome travel. It follows four families: a honeymoon in Iceland, a tour of Latin America, a van conversion, and a convoy of 19 vehicles. Hosted by Karine Ferri.

Since the lockdown, motorhome sales in France have jumped 40%. 12 million French people go camping each summer, some even hold weddings there. A TF1+ program follows two large families on a road trip.

The former reality show contestant shared his experience of staying at the Coachella festival in his own camper van on the campground. He stated that this saves money on transportation and places him within a 10-minute walk of the stages. The cost for a camper van spot for three days was $200.

WDR will air multiple episodes of the show 'Wir werden Camper!' on May 1, 2026. The lineup includes episodes about motorhome and caravan trips through Tuscany, as well as camping in German and Italian regions.

A German couple new to camping bought a used travel trailer for €5,000 for their first trip. Their journey through the Scottish Highlands involved adapting to left-hand traffic and visiting filming locations for major movies. The trip focused on nature, including wildlife photography on the Hebrides and a visit to Loch Ness.
