German motorhome and caravan production drops 15–17%

In Schleswig-Holstein, a van collided head-on with a motorhome. The 45-year-old van driver died at the scene, while the 55-year-old motorhome driver sustained minor injuries. A gas leak occurred post-crash, and the cause is under investigation.

A fire alarm in Irsingen on Wednesday evening triggered a large-scale response from multiple fire departments. Smoke was detected from a barn on the southern edge of Irsingen, where motorhomes were stored. Firefighters from Irsingen, Türkheim, and Bad Wörishofen used breathing apparatus and thermal imaging cameras to quickly bring the situation under control. The cause is suspected to be a technical defect; damage assessment is ongoing.
