German company Ari Motors has unveiled the ultra-compact electric camper Ari 458 Pro. It offers a range of up to 230 km, a starting price from €23,000–24,000 (excluding VAT), and is delivered without interior furniture for custom fitting.

The portal megaricos.com compiled a list of the most expensive features in modern luxury motorhomes. Examples include an outdoor kitchen priced at $74,675, an amphibious motorhome for $650,000, and a two-level motorhome with 111 sq m of living space costing $2 million.

Bridgestone has unveiled its first tire designed specifically for motorhomes: the Duravis Camper All Season. It carries the CP marking, an A rating for wet grip, and 3PMSF/M+S winter certifications. Available from June 2026 in four sizes for 15- and 16-inch rims.

In Punta del Este, inspectors fined a tourist traveling in a motorhome, reigniting debate over local restrictions. The department of Maldonado prohibits the installation and overnight stays of motorhomes on public land, especially in coastal tourist areas. Authorities direct such tourism to designated areas, but the growing number of motorhome travelers fuels debate over rule flexibility.

Brazilian travelers received an official notice from Maldonado authorities for parking their motorhome on Playa Brava beach in Punta del Este. They left without a fine but expressed disappointment on social media.

A pickup truck converted into a motorhome was stolen in Uruguay. The incident occurred on February 21 at a truck stop on Route 2, near the town of Egaña. The vehicle contained camping gear, electronics, and cash, with the total loss estimated at US$9,387.
